The pet avatar maker turns one photo of your pet into a stylized cartoon avatar, sized square for profile pictures on Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord and everywhere else. Creating your avatar, step by step
- Open the avatar maker and pick a style. Three are available (comparison below) — every style keeps your pet's real fur color and markings.
- Add a photo by tapping the dashed area and choosing from your device. One photo is enough; the tool shows a small preview so you can confirm the right file.
- Press Make my avatar. Generation takes about thirty seconds; the progress panel keeps you company.
- Review the result. Happy? Move to the next step. Not quite? Try another style — each generation uses one of your daily free pictures.
- Download with the button under the avatar. Downloads are protected by a free sign-in (Google) — the same rule as the portrait studio, and it's what keeps your pictures recoverable later.
- Loop back to step 1 to try a different style, or head to the studio for a full-size portrait of the same pet.
Choosing between the three styles
- Cartoon 3D — big glossy eyes, rounded shapes, soft studio light. The safest pick for profile pictures: readable at small sizes and universally likable.
- Kawaii chibi — oversized head, tiny body, bold outlines. Maximum cuteness, perfect for sticker-like avatars and younger audiences.
- Watercolor — loose painterly washes on cream paper. The most "art gallery" of the three; lovely for memorial avatars and softer feeds.
Getting a result that looks like them
The style does the drawing; the photo does the likeness. A face-filling, well-lit, sharp photo produces the strongest avatar — the same rules as full portraits, and our photo mistakes guide covers all seven errors in detail. The short version: face big in frame, light on the face, no motion blur, pet alone.
Troubleshooting
"You've used all 3 free pictures." The counter resets every day. If you're mid-session and out of pictures, Pro removes the daily cap and the watermark on downloads.
The avatar doesn't look like my pet. Nine times out of ten the photo is the cause — blurry, too dark, or face too small. Re-shoot following the rules above, then regenerate. Trying a different style also changes the likeness feel dramatically.
Generation failed. Rare, but the studio can hiccup under load. Failures don't consume your daily quota — just press the button again.
Download asks me to sign in. That's expected: generating is open to everyone, downloading requires a free Google sign-in so your pictures stay attached to you. We only receive your name, email and profile picture.
Is my photo used to train AI? No. Photos are used only to paint your avatar, never to train models, and uploads are deleted automatically within seven days. The full story is on our AI disclosure page.
